Black Hills 4th of July Events

From blackhillstravelblog.com:

American pride. There's no shortage of that commodity here in the Black Hills of western South Dakota.
It starts with Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where thousands renew their patriotism every year during two days of July 4 ceremonial activities.

Almost every town has a parade, and most of them have fireworks, too. Old West shootouts, cook-offs, car shows 'n shines, great music, picnics, ice cream socials, farmers markets, re-enactors, arts and crafts vendors. The Black Hills is hosting an American birthday party, and everyone is invited!

Endless beauty, six national parks and monuments, world-class access to abundant wildlife, these are just a few things the Black Hills can boast of year-round that make the region beloved by so many. This time of year we also start preparing to put on full-display something else we have in abundance in the Black Hills - American pride.

Our small towns are proud to display their love of country, each in its own distinctive way. We throw some of the best Fourth of July celebrations found anywhere in America. From the shrine of democracy, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, to one of the nation's most unique and best fireworks displays at Lead's Gold Camp Jubilee over the Homestake open cut; from the City of Presidents sculptures on every downtown corner in Rapid City, named America's most patriotic city by Rand McNally in 2011, to western celebrations at the famed Black Hills Roundup rodeo in Belle Fourche and Custer's Old Time Country 4th Celebration.

Almost every town has a parade, and most of them have fireworks, too. The list is long; old West shootouts, cook-offs, car shows 'n shines, great music, picnics, ice cream socials, farmers markets, re-enactors, arts and crafts vendors.
