Truly western. The Mount Rushmore Rodeo at Palmer Gulch. Cowboys and Cowgirls will compete in BULL Riding, Bronc Riding, Team Roping and Barrel Racing. The Clowns and "Mutton Bustin" are sure to please the crowd. Cowboys and Cowgirls will sign autographs followed by a Cowboy dance with Live Music. See ya at the Rodeo!!
Celebrate Oktoberfest on board the 1880 Train! Prior to departure, enjoy live music by Easy Sounds of Rapid City.
Please Note: Seating is assigned. In order to sit together, passengers must be under one reservation and one payment. Credit card is charged at time of reservation. Passengers must arrive 30 minutes in advance to check in with ticket agent and pick up tickets. Like any ticketed event, all sales are final and no refunds or cancellations are offered unless ticketed train does not operate.
No outside alcohol is allowed. Passengers who appear intoxicated will not be allowed to board the train.

OLDE TYME CHRISTMAS
A family-friendly event that welcomes Christmas with a parade, Christmas tree lighting, roasted chestnuts, hot cider and cookies, and special guests and events throughout the town’s shops, attractions and train museum. An old-fashioned small-town lighted parade kicks off at 6p sharp. Santa visits with children and hands out apples at the SD State Railroad Museum following the parade. A wonderful tradition to enjoy with your family!
